I was a baker and since I had that profession usually when people give me gifts it is related to baking. I usually get gifts on special occasions but occasionally there are people who just appreciate the goodness of my baked goods that they want to give something back. Some gifts I actually could use in and around my café but most of them are just the same old thing, and example of the most frequent gifts I receive are cookie cutters.

I often get the Christmas cookie cutters and I have a lot of them stashed in a big drawer in my café’s kitchen. When I was looking for something in the kitchen I happen to come across this large stash of cookie cutters and asked myself “what can I do with these?”, I thought about it for 2 days but since Christmas was just around the corner instead of buying Christmas decorations I can use these and decorate the shop. I only needed like a set to use for our Christmas inspired cookies and the rest of the Christmas cookie cutters can be used for decorations. I used most of them as ornaments, I tied the cookie cutters with decorative ribbons and strings to hang them on the Christmas tree we had inside the store.

It was a great addition to my Christmas decorations. It is unique and innovative as my patrons liked it so much; one regular customer had actually copied what I had done to decorate her Christmas tree too.
